USA Today bestselling author Nina Bangs welcomes you back to the Castle of Dark Dreams, a place of otherworldly secrets and sensual men with the power to fulfill your most private fantasies. All Ivy had ever wanted was a safe, secure life with no drama. Now she was working in an adult theme park where visitors came to role-play their wildest imaginings. She reminded herself to stay focused on her job and to ignore everything else. The reminders didn’t work. One man drew her. Murmur was every erotic dream she’d tried to repress, every deliciously dangerous temptation she said she didn’t need. Her instinct suggested that this was a man who walked in darkness. She ignored the warning. But Murmur was more than what he seemed. A powerful demon, he used his demonic gift to destroy as well as seduce. In desiring him, Ivy had opened herself to a menace born centuries ago—one that would risk both their lives and betray the promises made with every one of his wicked whispers.

Life can be strange and people can be stranger still. The short stories and poems by this first time writer illustrate the quirks of our fellow humans, as well as the meaningful and whimsical moments that mark all our lives. In the stories 'The Two Islands', 'The Valley of Doves', 'The Boy and the Butterfly' and 'Seaweeds', this Caribbean author addresses issues such as intolerance, spirituality and love- sometimes in a fairy tale like manner, other times in a matter-of-fact way. The book also contains poems which seek to voice some of the dreams and whispers we all carry inside of us.

This anthology of contemporary poets of Iasi (and the adjoining region) presents English-speaking audiences with a generous sampling, in effective literary translation, of notable contemporary writers from this most important cultural and literary center of modern Romania. Contemporary writing in Iasi is both strong and varied, with not only such a world-class writer as Mihai Ursachi, but many other poets who deserve attention in an international context. The book includes twenty poets, with rougnly ten poems each, a structure similar to the Cluj poets book, Transylvanian Voices, published by the Center for Romanian Studies in 1997, after which it is modeled. The editor has worked with over twenty different collaborators. The book includes brief bio-bibliographical notes on all the writers, together with a general introduction for foreign readers. The following poets are included in the anthology (in alphabetical order): Radu Andriescu, Liviu Antonesei, Emil Brumaru, Cristina Cirstea, Marina Codrut, Nichita Danilov, Aurel Dumitrascu, Gellu Dorian, Dan Giosu, Carmeli Leonte.
