Have you watched in awe as dogs performed amazing feats on TV? Do you wonder, "Why doesn't my dog mind me?" Packed with dog training tips in every chapter, this book challenges you to explore and expand your relationship with your dog. But the author does not stop there. She goes on to employ the same training principles we use with our dogs to evoke a deeper relationship with our Creator. Often, we respond to God the same way our dogs respond to us-confused, distracted, or downright disobedient! Can we learn about obedience, teamwork, and developing a relationship with God by observing our dogs? Margie Clutter's strong Christian faith and proven dog training ability have given her a unique perspective on relationships between dogs and humans, and humans and God. The result is this collection of practical, scriptural, modern-day parables for spiritual growth in your relationship with God.

Appearances can be deceptive. This is a small book with the cosiest of titles – The Parable of the Dog – and you might assume that it isn’t deep. Presumably, Jesus’ listeners felt the same when he started to tell parables of straying sons, mustard seeds or mugged Samaritans. Be warned! As with the biblical parables, this soothing appearance disguises the sharpest of steel. This is an important, inspiring and relevant parable that addresses a critical issue in today’s church.

Im more convinced than ever that if youre going to write a book it must come from deep inside you. I believe thats so true regarding the writing of any good book, but particularly this volume. While my first published work The Seers House arrived in one single vision at 3 oclock in the morning, my second endeavour Miracle Dog; Miracle God took a lot longer to emerge. For over ten years following my first publication, I was caught up in the mission field in Romania and literally didnt have time to write a follow-up. Indeed, only after Id returned from Romania and been separated from my best friend Snowbell, our Golden Retriever Labrador, did I really begin to accept that another book may be about to be birthed. I couldnt shake off the writing of this book and so eventually I sat down and wrote it. Nevertheless, Miracle Dog; Miracle God hasnt been the easiest manuscript to create for various reasons. Trying to keep to my subject matter what God the Father taught me about Himself through the love of a dog, when there was so much more to tell about our Romanian endeavours, hasnt been straightforward. Writing each chapter as a parable was equally challenging, but in the end I think Ive managed to produce what has been within me since 2008. Finally, the emotion I experienced writing about this remarkable little dog was quite unexpected. On numerous occasions I would have to literally down tools and shed tears, while at other times I laughed out loud and so enjoyed reminiscing about happier moments with Snowbell. My desire is that Miracle Dog; Miracle God will make you laugh and cry, yet also instruct you about the amazing unconditional love of God. After all, thats exactly what happened to me when I was introduced to Snowbell, a beautiful gift from God to my life, if ever there was one.

The Author truly believes that the dog is God's most perfect creation, and it shows by the unconditional love dog shows for man. This trait is not shown by any other creature and only shown in the relationship dog has with man, and is a gift from God to man. God is the only other that shows this unconditional love towards man, so the Author feels the dog is very special in God's eyes, even the name "Dog" is a reflection of the name "God". This book will touch on all your emotions, happiness, sadness, anger and in the final chapter this Author's vision of why dogs go to heaven, you will feel the unconditional love given to man only from God and Dog. We all have heard the Gospel stories of Jesus, but the Author tastefully injected a loving companion dog into some of these beautiful stories. He knew some might take offense with him messing with the Gospels, but he is a man of great faith as well as a dog parent, and he takes great pain in writing this book so as to not change the Gospel's real meaning. The best way to see if this book is for you is to hit the look inside button, and you will be able to read the full chapter before you buy. There are a few purely fictional chapters that were added, but they are respectfully written and take nothing from the scriptures.
