It embraces the most extensive and important collee tion of water colors yet exhibited in the West, for which the Art Committee takes pleasure in acknowledging its obligations to the co-operation of the American Society of Painters in Water Colors. Miss Rose Durfee, of New York, has acted as the agent of the Committee in the collection of pictures from New York artists and dealers, and will be in Chicago during the season of the Exhibition.
